Liberating Grace: The Power of the Reformation in the World Today

As part of Luther College’s commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, a two-day conference will be held March 31-April 1: Liberating Grace: The Power of the Reformation in the World Today. The conference will feature a Friday evening keynote address by Lutheran pastor and author Nadia Bolz-Weber and a Saturday morning address by Ralston Deffenbaugh, Assistant General Secretary for International Affairs and Human Rights, Lutheran World Federation.

Nadia Bolz-Weber will offer her take on the 95 theses for our times.  Ralston Deffenbaugh will address themes of “Welcoming the Stranger” and “The Global Challenge of Refugee Protection in an Age of Fear.”  Luther’s Nordic Choir and Symphony Orchestra will offer Bach’s Mass in B Minor Sat. night in the CFL.  A schedule of the conference is posted online at: https://www.luther.edu/reformation-2017/conference/schedule/  The online schedule includes links to conference registration.
