On Saturday, September 30th, the National Lutheran Choir, an elite chorus of 64 singers, will perform at 7 pm at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (147 NW 19th Ave., Portland). The concert requires tickets, which can be purchased at nlcpnw.com.
“This is our first appearance in Portland and we are really looking forward to it,” noted David Cherwien, artistic director of the NLC. “We have a program that will include early Lutheran music and music from Africa and Korea. The program also has a participatory element with a brand-new commissioned piece for the choir plus a mass choir of singers from local congregations, and that will be fun to do!”
