Reformation Sunday Worship (Metro D.C. Synod)

We welcome all to join us at Washington National Cathedral for a festive worship service as we commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
Join us on this 500th Reformation anniversary commemoration.

If you do not RSVP, you are absolutely welcome to worship! However, RSVPs received by Oct. 22 are greatly appreciated – indicating the # of people attending and transportation methods.

ARRIVE EARLY!
3 p.m. – Pre-service music outside of Cathedral (weather permitting)
3:30 p.m. – Pre-music in sanctuary and special greetings
4 p.m. – Worship begins

ROSTERED MINISTERS
Rostered ministers are invited to vest and process – color of the day is red. ARRIVE BY 3:30 and gather at left of altar area.

WORSHIP
Preaching: The Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, ELCA presiding bishop
Presiding: The Rev. Richard H. Graham, Metro D.C. Synod bishop
Special worship music: Roanoke College Choir
Holy Communion will be served.
An offering collected in the worship service will go toward the active ministry of Lutheran Disaster Response and Lutheran World Relief.

TRANSPORTATION
Please allow ample time to navigate D.C. traffic and parking.

Those wishing to park buses at the Cathedral must contact Dosha at groups@cathedral.org. A limited number of spots are available.
