The Puget Sound Area ELCA congregations, the Southwestern Washington Synod and Pacific Lutheran University come together in a synod-wide worship marking 500 years of Lutheran Reformation. Praising God in Word and Sacrament, we give thanks for the heritage we share, the communion on saints and the gifts of the Reformation.
In our Lutheran heritage, all are invited to a shared worship service combining musical and liturgical gifts from our neighboring ELCA churches. This will be a joyous remembrance featuring clergy in procession, a sermon by Bishop Richard Jaech, a joint choir and communion. PLU has generously allowed us to use Lagerquist Hall to commemorate this milestone in a larger setting.
